Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her first professional appearance was in minor roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she portrayed the role of reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt. She also played an acting role in FX's short-lived show The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson's character in the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in The NBC show This Is Us. She also is the voice of various characters in the animated comedy series Family Guy. She has been the voice of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in Virgin River on Netflix since the year 2019. Virgin River since 2019. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. They went through a few moves before finally moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she began to take an interest in acting, photography and singing. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue a career in acting.
